My story is probably a little bit similar to yours.

20 years ago I thought that banking was a great industry to get into. I worked hard, did what you were supposed to do and made it my career. But then I reached a point where no matter what I did I just felt completely unfulfilled by my role. I’d be at my desk doing the maths of how long it would be until I could retire. I’d reassure myself that “Oh it’s only 12 years away etc, then I can have the freedom that I want”.

MY MISSION

My mission is to show others that they don’t have to accept their lot in life.

When I realised how often I was doing this I realised that I couldn’t go on like that anymore. There had to be something more to life than this. I shouldn’t be wishing my life away waiting for the time when I could be free to do what I want, I should be able to do what I want now while I can really appreciate it.

As I looked more into it I came to the conclusion that this wasn’t just burnout, it was something that had been building up for a while. I was going from job to job and finding myself completely uninspired and frustrated. I enjoyed work and the achievement that comes with it but I also wanted the flexibility to go to the beach if it was sunny or take some time to really focus on my other interests. I needed to do things differently because the 9 to 5 grind was wearing me down to a point where even in the time that I had to myself I didn’t have the energy to actually do what I wanted to do.

SOMETHING HAD TO BE DONE 

I couldn’t keep doing this and accepting my lot. So I went looking for a solution and discovered how I could create an online business and harness the global online economy. I’d seen similar things before, guys on yachts, people backpacking with their laptops living the “laptop lifestyle” and to be honest at first it made me think “yeah this isn’t for me”. It wasn’t until I found the LaunchYou system that I thought this is something that I can use to create the freedom that I want.

It was finally possible for me to develop my skills, learn about the tools I’d need and get started with an online business that worked for me. I had made a decision to put my freedom first not only was it fulfilling but I found myself looking forward to working on it. Funnily enough as I started working on my online business I was made redundant and what a blessing that was!

It was like a weight had been lifted. I had the time to fully invest in my business and didn’t have to face the Sunday dread of “Oh no I have to go to work tomorrow” anymore.

I finally had the freedom to work how I wanted. My mission is now enabling others to get that freedom too.
